Mossbrae Hotel - Dunsmuir

The location was particularly good, at a medium distance from Tauhindauli Park. What's more, it was short walk to the center of main street Dunsmuir as well as Ted's Flyfishing shop.

The hotel was charming small, had delightful rooms. Everybody was super-friendly. The personalized service and the attention to detail! It was a good and excellent location really close to the town Center, an excellent restaurant and the Hedge Creek falls. It also was right in the downtown.

great room but noise from outside

The Superior King Room was excellent and the bathroom design really stood out. The mountain view from the patio added an really good touch to our stay.

We did experience some noise from nearby traffic at night.

Walking into a beautifully decorated room on a hot day was such a delight, and having cold water in the fridge was a nice touch! There were great relaxation spots around the pool area and cozy lounge chairs for some chill time. Just a heads-up, the remote check-in process could've been smoother, but everything else was spot on 😊

The quaint, boutique feel added to the experience, and I appreciated the proximity to local dining options. The room could have used better sound insulation as I heard some noise from the nearby laundry.

Check-in went smoothly with the keyless entry. The King Room had high-quality decor. The ceiling fan and air conditioning made the room comfortable during a hot day. Small touches included cold water in the fridge and a dog bowl for my pup. The bathroom looked gorgeous with luxurious finishes. The patio outside was perfect. The location was convenient, walking distance to a wine bar and other eateries. I did encounter some issues though. No staff was present at the front desk, made communication difficult. Room temperature control could have been better, and I missed having an ice machine available. Despite these setbacks, the beautiful design and cozy atmosphere were good. I would consider returning if some issues were addressed.

Our room was spacious, well-decorated, and clean. We enjoyed visiting the nearby Shasta Nordic Center for some outdoor fun.

My kids wished for more family-friendly activities on site.

This boutique hotel is a gem! The room was super cozy, with a spacious bathroom and even a kitchenette. I also loved the tech features like the keypad locks and USB ports. Plus, it's just a short walk to various restaurants and bars! Highly recommend checking out the Mexican spot nearby.

The soaking tub was a dream after a long drive, and the kitchenette made it so convenient. The comfy bed and the lovely decor!

Charming room, comfortable bed, the room was cute and included great amenities like free wi-fi and an electric kettle. Plus, it's conveniently located near Redding Municipal Airport.

Power outage during check-in was inconvenient.

Charming atmosphere with a gorgeous historical restoration that brings character. Enjoyed the heated bathroom floors in my King Room, and the inviting fireplace added a cozy touch that really set the mood.

Check-in was a hassle with remote instructions not sent until a few hours before arrival, which left me scrambling to get the access codes. The lack of on-site parking meant finding a spot on the street, and on top of it all, the noise from passing trains nearby definitely broke the tranquility I'd hoped for.

Couples seeking cozy comfort

So I gotta say, this place was pretty great. The staff were great when we got stuck here during a snowstorm, they brought us sandwiches from a deli that was open, and wouldn't even let us pay. Real hospitality, folks. Plus, our room had this warm, inviting vibe, and a bathroom.

Yeah, it wasn't exactly a bargain either, but honestly, it worked out fine.
